In this episode, we start off by welcoming new All-stars and expressing our gratitude for their support. I then provide an update on the development of our new product, number nine. I explain that I have been working on making my own vegetable stock as a key ingredient for this batch. I express my excitement about the outcome of number nine with Uncle Brother's Vegetable Stock and the addition of smoked and roasted chilies and garlic. I mention that there are still a few steps left to complete before transitioning to the commercial kitchen.
Next, I apologize for the delay in shipping out the last few orders and thank everyone for their patience. I assure them that the shipment will be sent out as soon as the batch is finished. Furthermore, I give a shoutout to a customer named Bill P. who suggested reducing the packing materials in our shipments. I share the story of how I obtained recycled materials from a local co-op, highlighting our commitment to the environment.
Moving on, we discuss our efforts to promote eco-friendly shipping practices. We have been using plain boxes and taping over the branding on Amazon boxes to make them more sustainable. I express my desire for Amazon to reconsider their branding on shipping boxes, and suggest starting a campaign to encourage other shippers to use plain boxes as well.
Afterwards, I give a shoutout to Ms. Blatt, our first employee, and a long-time subscriber Jeff H. who upgraded his membership to a two-bottle plan. I also acknowledge Rashaun F. for joining as a new all-star and bringing in five more people to sign up. As a result of Rashaun's efforts, we have created a reward program for our all-stars. Referring five people who sign up within six weeks will earn an upgrade or a free bottle of our sauce, and referring ten people will result in the all-star's next payment being covered by us.
In the next part of the conversation, I give a special shoutout to my dear sweet auntie, Diane, who is celebrating her birthday. I mentioned that I need to wrap up the conversation quickly as I have to attend her birthday celebration. Before ending, I announce that we have reviews available for all-star sign-ups and share a surprise for those who leave a review. I express deep gratitude to everyone who has joined and supported our efforts.

Speaker:What's up, everybody? I'm Uncle Brother. I make award-winning allsauce, and I'm a radical,
Speaker:self-care extremist Okay, it's time for another update.
Speaker:And of course to start things off Welcome and a huge. Thank you,
Speaker:to all of the newest All-stars, and I'm going to flash some names right along here of all the all-stars
Speaker:and you'll see the newest ones have been included in there. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Now.
Speaker:Okay, so now it's time for an update on the ship. Still a few waiting for samples of number nine
Speaker:to be ready. Since getting them out is pending completion of the development batch that of
Speaker:number nine that's currently underway. As I mentioned last time, I was talking about,
Speaker:I might go into something that I was working on. It was a development of one of my key ingredients.
Speaker:So, as you may notice on the label of number nine, one of the key ingredients is a vegetable stock.
Speaker:So, as I mentioned before,
Speaker:that was something that I had been purchasing. So what I thought I would do is make a go of it myself,
Speaker:coming up with a stock.
Speaker:So that's what I just finished, working out a process for, another step in the process,
Speaker:was a process for the vegetable stock.
Speaker:So that went very well.
Speaker:And I'm very pleased with that.
Speaker:So I'm excited to see now the outcome of number nine with, you know, Uncle Brother's Vegetable Stock,
Speaker:as part of the recipe, this go-round.
Speaker:And chilies and garlic.
Speaker:Whoa, look at that. I've all been smoked and processed and on standby.
Speaker:So shout out to Maria Washington for contributing a couple of pounds of her little Pikmi Serrano.
Speaker:Yes, it's the cutest little Pikmi Serranos I've ever seen. But you know, thank you very much, Maria.
Speaker:Long time member of the Allsauce Village.
Speaker:So yes, the serrano chilies and garlic have been smoked and roasted.
Speaker:So we've got a couple of more steps to go still, a couple of more steps that I still have yet to map out.
Speaker:So this week, I should be able to finish out the last couple of steps that I'm going to be needing,
Speaker:as I transition to the commercial kitchen.
Speaker:Please continue to be patient for a few more days, a few more days while I finish up this batch.
Speaker:As I said, it should be by the end of this week.
Speaker:And again, I apologize, but thank you.

Speaker:before getting these last couple of shipments out.
Speaker:So as I mentioned, there's still a few shipments pending that are in need of number nine samples.
Speaker:So as soon as this batch is done, those shipments will be headed your way.
Speaker:So if you've gotten an email from me already, You're pushing back my estimate just a little bit, but it should be this week that I get the batch finished and then I'll be shipping them out.
Speaker:Just a few orders here to ship out. So now I want to give a shout out to Bill P.
Speaker:Bill P. reached out to me and said, You got to cut down on all that packing material that you're putting in your shipment.
Speaker:Said, but Bill, it's precious cargo.
Speaker:He said, you be.
Speaker:The UPS driver could have thrown that box like a football and those bottles wouldn't have broke.
Speaker:All right, I couldn't help but LOL, laugh out loud behind that, Bill P.
Speaker:Because, yes, I was thinking about that. I said, yeah, I'm putting all this packing in here,
Speaker:but I can afford it. How can I afford it? I'm always, look, I got to keep expenses down,
Speaker:getting this thing off the ground. Why am I putting so much packing in this.
Speaker:Shipment? It's recycled. Shout out to Tacoma Park Co-op, TPSS. I don't know how
Speaker:many years ago I saw bags and bags of packing materials sitting out on a you
Speaker:know that they were I don't know if they were getting rid of it or you know I
Speaker:said so I asked I said what's going on with this stuff outside? They said oh
Speaker:well it's just there you know anybody wants they can have it or whatever. I,
Speaker:I said, really? How often do you do that?
Speaker:They said, oh yeah, pretty frequently.
Speaker:So I said, well tell you what, call me when you have it, I'll come get it.
Speaker:I was getting packing materials, I started this back in the first cycle.
Speaker:So, they graciously called me every time they had sat something out and I built a stockpile.
Speaker:As a matter of fact, when things shut down, I still had that stuff
Speaker:and I held on to it. So now some of the boxes that are coming are in this type,
Speaker:of box. Okay this is a box one of the boxes that I get from Co-op. Now you see
Speaker:it has a you know some writing and writing sticker they wrote my name on it
Speaker:Okay, but this comes from the.
Speaker:Ogaia, Gaia T. So I Like this box. You see I can recycle and reuse. This is perfect, but some of you,
Speaker:Have received your samples in a recycled.
Speaker:Amazon box Okay, so last time I was up at the co-op picking up the recycled shipping materials,
Speaker:I was talking with the lady shout out to Jane and check thank you so much for being so thoughtful when it comes to,
Speaker:You know recycling the shipping materials and allowing me to be a regular,
Speaker:Recycler of your shipping materials. How about that?
Speaker:So I have been sending out though some of these Amazon boxes and I was up there the other day to pick up some shipping,
Speaker:materials and And I said, you know, I was thinking about, I said, what do you call that? A ballot initiative.
Speaker:Maybe, you know, one of these days I may get around to doing a ballot initiative or something.
Speaker:I said, I don't know.
Speaker:But I want to, I want to like reach out or get Amazon to consider some kind of way.
Speaker:They'll put all this branding on.
Speaker:We don't need the branding on the box. You know, just use the tape, you know, just the branding tape.
Speaker:Branding on the tape is a great idea, but branding all over the box, I mean, we don't
Speaker:Really need to see the Amazon.
Speaker:Music.
Speaker:Use these boxes. Now they proudly stay on here made with less material. Great, I love that.
Speaker:That's fantastic. But so many boxes go out. I mean over the time period that I was, you know,
Speaker:off for a while, you know, put everything on pause, I started realizing that I should be
Speaker:saving these boxes because one of these days I'm going to be shipping sauce out to folks,
Speaker:and I'm still going to use recycled boxes.
Speaker:Even before I realized that all of you were out there longing for the return of all socks,
Speaker:I just had the feeling that I would be doing this.
Speaker:So I had stockpiled a bunch of Amazon boxes.
Speaker:And you know what I'd do? I think I even started this before the break, but I would just tape over the branding.
Speaker:Okay, well that's cool, but that's a lot of material to put. I got to put all the tape.
Speaker:Just do a plain box. Everybody that's shipping, we like to guide your company.
Speaker:They do organic herbal teas, and so they're very conscious. See, this is no,
Speaker:this is a label. I could peel this label off or put my shipping label over this
Speaker:label and we're good to go. Nice and recycled. Isn't that wonderful? Nobody has to have it.
Speaker:You talk about climate change and reducing impact on the environment. What's wrong with that?
Speaker:Maybe I could do a Change.org. Is there still a Change.org? Somebody, you know, maybe in the
Speaker:comments tell me, do we need a campaign to get shippers to send out plain boxes unmarked with
Speaker:things.

Speaker:Yes, I heard Ms. Blatt was Uncle Brother's first employee. Ms. Blatt was just graduating from University of Maryland,
Speaker:and she interviewed and came to work for Uncle Brother.

Speaker:What's up? Shout out to Jeff H. I heard from Jeff, who wanted to know how he could post his rave reviews.
Speaker:He tried to get into the membership area and it didn't work.
